Nature of Services
As a law firm, Accord Solutions Group, PLLC provides clients with legal services, in the form of legal consultations and privileged investigations. Certain trainings may also fall under the category of legal services. Legal services are provided subject to the attorney-client privilege, confidentiality requirements, and other protections as set forth in the Utah Rules of Professional Conduct.
In addition to legal services, we offer “law-related services” under Rule 5.7 of the Utah Rules of Professional Conduct. These “law-related services” are not legal services and do not enjoy the protections of the attorney-client privilege or the other protections set forth in the Utah Rules of Professional Conduct. “Law-related services” include coaching, consulting, and the majority of our trainings.
We also offer mediation services, which are subject to the Utah Uniform Mediation Act: Utah Code 78B-10-101, et seq. Under this statute, mediation communications are generally privileged and confidential unless the parties agree to waive those protections.
At Accord Solutions Group, PLLC, we believe that by offering a wide array of services, we are able to more effectively resolve our client’s workplace challenges. To avoid confusion, we specify in each engagement letter whether the services provided are legal in nature and whether the attorney-client privilege or other protections apply. We encourage our clients to freely ask questions about the nature of the services.
